There is a wide range of bars, cafes and good restaurants within walking distance and of course you are only a few steps from the beach. The hosts were very welcoming and kept us informed all the way through from the initial booking to our arrival. We stayed in the 1st floor ‘Scirocco’ room which is large, comfortable and has access to the terrace where, like Salvo, you will have your coffee and pastries in the morning. This does mean that the furniture and decor is what you would find in a typical Sicilian home rather than the upmarket hotel style you would get elsewhere - but that isn’t why you would come here. Stepping through the front door you immediately feel you are on set with Montalbano - everything is as you remember from the show. Having watched the subtitled version in England we fell in love with the area and characters portrayed. Of course we did - that’s why we came here. I’d like to start by saying that we didn’t know anything about the TV show before we booked to stay in this B&B - but I’d be lying.
